The day has finally come...
Construction started today. It was a small but good start. The window was removed that the new porch roof would have gone through. The guys from Colonial Remodeling did a great job. I'll post the before, during, and after photos tomorrow.
We should also receive our landscape design tomorrow, so we're excited about that too. Hope we can afford it!

Construction to start soon!
We have finally engaged a contractor to build the front porch. They need to remove a window that is in the way of the new porch roof. It's the side window for the top bedroom in the old part of the house. No worries, there is a large window in the front of the house that provides tons of light to that room. If all goes according to plan, that will happen early next week. I can't believe that we are really getting started!!

Estimates, estimates, and more estimates
We have porch estimates, tree removal estimates, paint estimates out the wazoo! I think we are narrowing in on all of the contractors that we will need to get everything done. Doing your homework is a good thing. I think it will save us thousands in the end.

Shore Haus
There is an incredible furniture store at Rehoboth Beach called Shore Haus. We stopped in while we were at the beach with Ron and Nicole for Labor Day weekend. They have donated to Curb Appeal in the past. Mara e-mailed me today and let me know that they are interested in working with us...YEA! Their stuff ROCKS! Here's a pic of the british west-indies furniture that I think would look great on our new front porch. They also had beautiful light fixtures...
